The parish church is dedicated to St Aegidius and is a late Gothic building with a late Baroque spire. The altarpiece by Bartolomeo Altomonte depicts St Aegidius with the hind and is framed by a sweeping baroque structure. The main entrance was originally in the tower passageway, but was walled up in 1600 after a murder was committed there. Opposite the former main entrance is the tomb of Hans Jakob Löbl, who died in 1562, former governor of Upper Austria and owner of Greinburg Castle. At the southern side exit is a late Gothic gravestone with a high relief of Siegmund Prüschenk, Count of Hardegg, the builder of Greinburg Castle, who died in 1502. Inside the church is a magnificent pulpit with the four church fathers, which was donated by the lady of the castle, Anna von Dietrichstein, in 1679.
Church services on Sundays and public holidays: 7.00 am and 10.00 am.
